I got it! I did! HEEE! I was at the Wal-Mart this morning, with everyone else. And – actually, it wasn’t that bad. I got there in time for doorbusters (since I got there before the doors opened). Granted, not soon enough to be able to get one of the 400 dollar laptops, but that’s not why I was there. (; I went for my Zelda Nintendo DS and I GOT it. It’s pretty. I <3 it. It's so shiny. And gold. And pretty. I love it. (= Now people can get me DS things for Christmas! YAY! I also got a mini-chopper. (Chopper 4…) To make things small. It was 4 bucks. I figured I could swing that. (; I also got a present for my mom and dad. They needed a new TV for their bedroom. They were talking about it Wednesday night or last night. I can’t remember. It was on sale, so I bought it. And I wrapped it. XD It now sits in the family room – just – wrapped – and – taunting. (; I’m so mean. Poor Daniel. He is up already and at work. Poor guy. Let us all pray his customers were as nice as the people at my Wal-Mart. They really were very nice. Everyone waiting in line and in the store. Very polite and whatnot. (= I’m thinking of you, Daniel!

Where’s the Turkey!

We’re having it tomorrow. Yes, we’re having it tomorrow. Silly us’n. (;
Everyone is having their Thanksgiving meal today – but not my family. We will be doing the huge meal tomorrow, Friday. Which, honestly, is okay with us. For a couple of reasons.

First – it’s damn freaking hot for November. It was 70 at its warmest today. 70. Seven-Zero. Hello?! Ugh. Not really the temperature you want outside if you are going to have your oven on for four to six hours. No. Ew. Yuck. I mean, it’s nice outside, it IS. But – not for Turkey-time. Too warm for oven on that long. Totally too warm. (;

Second – sister is having Thanksgiving dinner with her fiance’s family. Which is cool. When there are multiple families involved, that happens. But, my mom kind of wanted everyone around for OUR meal, so we pushed ours off a day. Fiance will come too, so it’ll be nice. (=

And – I’m going to a write-in tomorrow for NaNoWriMo. Wonder if I’ll miss some of the franticness of the cooking.

God, that’d be amazing. XD

Time Off

Thank freaking god. >___< I am burnt. I need more than four days off, but I'll take what I can get. The kids are just really getting to me. They are whiny, the parents are whiny, and the county is stupid. Ugh. ::sighs:: BUT! There will be stuffing. And turkey. AND! Mom is also going to make her beef vegetable soup while I am here. Oh – god – YES. ::grins: Mom makes the best soup. I am so happy about it. (= I’m also slightly nuts. Because I will be going out on Black Friday to do some shopping. Now, let’s be clear. I am going to the Wal-Mart which is five minutes up the street from my mother’s house. I am going after one single item. And then I will return to my home and hide from the frenzy. (If I lived in San Diego, I would totally descend upon Daniel’s place of work. (; And pester him. All day.) Oh, and what is that single item?
