Guy gets shot and all I can think is – isn’t there anything else going on? Do all the stations have to not only lead with this story, but just keep on covering it? Mleh. >___< For those of you thinking someone in my family got shot – no. It’s Sean Taylor. Because I live in the Washington Metro area – every single news station led with the story at 11 pm. All four of them. NBC, CBS, ABC, and FOX. (Yes, I checked all of them.) And I turned on the news this morning at 5:10 am? It’s like they never stopped. Same story. Meh. And, of course, now it’s worse because he died, but – really. Isn’t there anything else going on? Anything? You know – like – more important? Yes, it’s tragic. Yes, he was only 24. But, seriously? If this guy wasn’t famous – it never would have LED the damn news. It would have been a footnote in some newspaper in Miami. Man, I’m cynical and jaded. And I’m going to hell. Fireside property. I’ll keep your seats cool. (;

I have to admit, I adore snail mail. I really, really, REALLY do. (;
There’s something so thrilling about getting something in my mail box which is *not* a bill. Oooooooooooo! (=

I admit it. I want more time off. Another day. Just one. At home. Away from my family. I love them to death, but – actually – I feel more rested after some time without them. (; Not that I actually did anything while at my mom’s house, but there’s that hour drive from my parents’ house to my own house that always makes me feel like I just need time to unwind. I mean, it’s an hour. Like I need a lot of time to unwind after that. Pffft. (; But – then you have to unpack, do laundry, calm down the cat because he’s mad you’ve been gone for four days….

Ah well. Back to the grind tomorrow.

Not ready. Not prepared. I have a million things to grade. Guess I’ll stay at work late – until most of it is done. Ergh. Not that I want to do that – but – it has to be done. Blaaaaaaaaaaah.

Save me. Save me from the grading.

Someone. Please. >___< On the plus side – I’m ready for holiday music and holiday decorations. (= I bought mini-lights for my classroom. Going to string them across the board. Wheee! (= I am excited about that. (Of course, I am not NEARLY as excited about the Christmas decorations as KentuckyGurl, but who could be?! (; *muah* Love you, KG!) So – there you have it. I need more time off. Someone save me. 4 full weeks until Christmas Break. No days off. The kids are going to make me nuts.

I love vacation days. ::grins:: It means you can just laze about the house, doing absolutely nothing at all. And I love it to death.

Thursday
Slept way in.
Stayed in Pajamas all day.
Took a nap.
Had Veggie Soup for dinner.
Ice cream for dessert.
Went to bed early.

Friday
Got up early and went to the Wal-Mart at 5am.
Purchased the gold, Zelda Nintendo DS.
Went to Starbucks.
Came home and played the Zelda game on the DS.
Took a shower.
Went to a NaNo Write-In.
Came home and took a nap.
Had Turkey dinner!
Bed.

Saturday
Got up about nine.
Stayed in pajamas.
Watched television for a while.
Took a nap.
Got up and got dressed.
Messed around on the net.
Played the Zelda game.
Pizza.
Stayed up late.

God I love vacation!
