So. I agreed to sub today for a summer session class. The guy I agreed to sub for is a coworker during the regular school year. He’s – eh. Put it this way. I don’t know what he’s doing teaching a regular class during summer school – the kids who flunked the class the first time. But – he is.
In any event. Today was supposed to be the review for the exam, which is tomorrow.
7 of these children could not keep it together. At all. In fact, I kicked one out in the first five minutes. The boy could not keep his mouth shut long enough for me to take attendance. And then he back talked me about ‘not taking this crap’ when I told him to be quiet. Seriously. I don’t need that. He asked me where he should go. I told him I really didn’t care. Someone brought him back about twenty minutes later, with the stipulation that if he repeated his actions, I was really to kick his ass to the curb. The idea is to get these kids to pass and it WAS the last day before exams, so I got it. I know why they brought him back. He calmed down. Some.
In any event. Those seven kids are why I need a vacation. Just seven of them can ruin a class. Ugh.
