Worlds Collide

Sorry for my post yesterday. I was really upset. )=

I had just gotten a phone call from my dad that my brother, sister, and almost-brother (sister’s fiance) had been in a car accident and were being taken to the hospital.

Emotional? Ah – yes. I really was. >.>

BUT!

Everyone is okay! (Thank goddess.)

From what I know, the car was cut off by another car and there was nowhere to go – no shoulder. To avoid causing a huge traffic accident, the driver swerved back to the other side – where there was no shoulder. The car finally tipped and rolled over – 1.5 to 2 times. They stayed in the median between two sections of an interstate. Horray grass.

Anyway.

Everyone is FINE.

Hysteria was uncalled for.

Phew.

Can I please stop getting phone calls on Sundays telling me that people in my family are hurt or dead?

Please?

Dear lord. Two posts in one day. The world is going to end. It’s coming.

In any event. Here’s the reason for this particular post.

I’ve been pondering taking a road trip to meet someone. And, well, let’s be honest with one another, internets. The very fact that I’m actually thinking about it scares the shit out of me. Like nothing else. The last time I did that, it exploded spectacularly. Took a year to do it – but it did. Took me too long to get over it. Anyway.

There’s no pressure. The invitation to take this road trip is open. Indeed, I don’t even *have* to take it. It’s just – there.

Bah. Meh. It’s like – I wanna go – but – I don’t wanna go. And the very fact that it’s all no pressure is – oddly – not helping. Mleh.

There you go! A day in the head of Poe of late.

Oh – and I volunteered to be in someone’s wedding party today. Because the person she wanted to be in it was being a flake. This would be a completely different road trip. And, oddly, I have no qualms in making this one. What’s up with that? O_o
