Worlds Collide

I know I’m a day late but I switched computers and didn’t think to write down any of my logins/passwords and had to get it reset blah blah blah. I’m here now… that’s all that matters.

1. How are those New Year Resolutions Going?
Really. I don’t even know why I bother. I can never remember them. Ha!

2. Post-holiday letdown – did it get you?
Nah. We didn’t have an “up” holiday so there was nothing to get down about afterwards. We still plan on celebrating some kind of gift giving holiday once we’re settled stateside tho.

3. Winter – are you like me and think it should be FREEZING – or do you like it warmer?
I want snow and warmth. Heh.

4. Writer’s Choice!
I had something really cool to write about yesterday but I’ve forgotten it already. Instead, I would just like to broadcast that the Beetle has turned me on to a Kelly Clarkson song. But shhhh! don’t tell him I told you that. He’s embarrassed that he likes her. teehee

Whoo, Hoo! I got in! I got in!  

Ok. Sp.  Post Holiday let down? More like the post holiday plumment into hell.  Right before the hubby and I returned to Tampa from KCMO I got a little cold.  Which resulted in my ears not poping on the flight into town, and pain and stuffed ears for 3 or 4 days aferwards. (I cried like a baby on the plane; it was pathetic.)  Then when just as my ears got better, my husband got the flu.  102 fever , vomiting, the whole bit. He was down for a week. 5 days after he came down with the flu I got it too.  But not before I lost my wallet with 300$ and my three holiday giftcads that I hadn’t gotten a chance to spend yet.  (Never got the wallet back; even filed a police report.) I was sick for nearly 2 and 1/2 weeks with the flu and it’s after effects.  Things are lookin up now though.  I finally got two new pairs of pants. (See, this post.)  Now i’ve got FOUR pairs of skinny pants!  Things are lookin up I say!

3. Winter – are you like me and think it should be FREEZING – or do you like it warmer?

Freeeeeeeeeeeeeze….

As if I needed another weird characteristic. I love cold weather. I like the chill, blustery air of a winter wind, kicking up coattails and debris. It means I get to wear one of my trench coats, gloves, maybe carry my cane. I don’t get a lot of excuses to dress up, so I enjoy it when Nature gives me the chance.

Warmer weather has its place, surely. But like my car, I get a pickup from brisk air greeting me when I walk out the door. Rain? Can’t get enough. Snow’s fun too, now and then.

hey everybody, this is the one, the only meeyotch over at blogtending.  It’s FFAF, so I’m surfing by the blogs and leaving my imprint. 

It’s currently 50 degrees in my hometown.  Earlier this week, it was warm enough to wear shorts and a t-shirt outside and not even get a chill.

I made three:
1. Stop lurking. Comment on every blog I read today.
2. My goal weight by my birthday.
3. Find my missing winter socks.

I completed the first one since it was for one day only. I’m working on the second, but have hit a plateau. I still have 58 days to lose 10 pounds. My missing winter socks were located. They were in a drawer at my ex-boyfriend’s house.

My goals weren’t too lofty this year.  XD
