Did you see where you broke the site? Did you? I bet not. It wasn’t up very long.
My poor EE needed updating. So, update it I did. And nothing got broken. How very exciting for me. I was completely thrilled that I didn’t kill the site, lose the database, corrupt the database. There are a ton of errors I was fearing would happen. But they did not, and you are still here! Horray!
I had visions of myself crying on my keyboard, willing poor Betty or Jenny to show up and help me. But, no, I managed it alone. Thank goodness. Though, in doing the backups, I realized I have no idea where EE stores the files which contain all the code for the site. I wanted to back them up from the server, but I – couldn’t find them! I ended up doing an export from the Control Panel. It was very strange.
But – all is well and nothing is lost.
Now – the next project. The new theme for the ‘Thon. (As well as a charity!)
