Thursday Thirteen – Part IV

Week #4 for Moi.  Consecutive weeks?  No, but that’s okay.  We’ll get there.  (;
And this week, because of the previous entry, we have Emo week!  Yay!  Hrmmm.  Perhaps I should lurk in the shadows and talk about how life is pain….
(and for those of you who have no idea what Emo is – Wikipedia is your friend.  Look below the TT for an excerpt.)

Thirteen Emo Things about Poe

  1. I brood.
  2. My MSN nick is generally pretty indicative of my mood.
  3. I have come up with too many ‘witty’ emo sayings.
  4. There are days I feel like the Queen of Angst.
  5. I also feel like the only nearly-thirty person who angst this much.
  6. I have no reason to be this angst-y.
  7. Maybe I just like angsting in the dark.  (Sorcery 101 is love.)
  8. Did I mention I brood?
  9. My cat has learned the signs of angst.
  10. My past has entirely too much to do with current moods.
  11. I hold way too much emotion inside.
  12. I have entirely too many online aliases to indicate angst and emo-ness.  __ is my favorite.
  13. I feel less emo now that I’ve finished this list.  How odd.  (;

An Excerpt from Wikipedia on Emo.  (;

When referring to a person’s personality and attitude, most definitions of emo hold that an emo person is emotionally candid, sensitive, shy, introverted, glum, and quiet. Depressed and broken-hearted are sometimes used to describe the emo personality. Emo music and poetry contain multiple references to unrequited love, emotional and relationship problems. Being melodramatic or attention seeking is also often associated with being emo.

    What is emo?

  2. damozel says:

    Brooding is sometimes good—especially if it gets you writing!

    I love the graphic for your site…it’s deep but not that angsty…ditto the colors(?)

  3. Rasmenia says:

    Nothing wrong with brooding…I practice it pretty frequently myself.

    Some people are just natural-born brooders, I think. wink

  4. yoshi says:

    I don’t think I’ve ever thought of you as emo, but yeah, I guess I could see that.

  5. Pandora says:

    @Kailani – emo is short for emotional. It’s come to mean anyone who tends to try and use their ‘dark’ and ‘gloomy’ state of mind to get attention. (;

    @damozel – too true! Brooding is good for the artist’s soul. (; I truly think that amazing happy people can’t write as well. XD And thanks! I love these colors myself. I was not in an angsty mood when I designed it. (;

    @Rasmenia – Too true. I don’t think my sister is a brooder. She just comes out and yells it. My mom and my brother and I? Brooders. We stew about things.

    @Yoshi – Never seen me Emo? Wow. You must not have messaged me at the right time then. XD

  6. Ember says:

    There’s nothing wrong with a bit of Emo smile
