First, before we get to Topical Tuesday, let’s have a chat about the Poe website.

I’m sure you’ve noticed….
It’s pink.

I know. You know. Pink is *sooooooooooo* not Poe. And yet – it’s for a good cause. Pink for October is something I’ve done for a couple of years now. And, it’s a good thing. To bring awareness to breast cancer – for both women *AND* men. Most men do not really get checked for it – and they should. It’s not AS prevalent as in women, but it does happen. Watch out for your boobies, mens!

I did it

Blogathon 2009 is over. And I managed to get all the way through it. (=

I have to thank everyone who helped out. My fabulous host (whom none of you have met, but, trust me, he’s fabulous) who agreed to watch me during this insanity. Many thanks to those of you who participated: Diz, Wench, Monique, Colin, Meredith, Mokia, Lindsey (my WONDERFUL monitor). Many thanks go out to Sheana at Blogathon as well, for putting up with me. (=

I know I said thanks already, but this is really important to me. That everyone who helped out know how much I appreciate it. (=

As per usual, Blogathon was fun and I met new people who may become dear friends. (Luka and Diz would be two of those from previous years. I think Colin was as well. I know Daniel was tangentially related. XD ) Anyway. Poor Daniel had to work, but he was with us in spirit! (=

I think you can still pledge until tomorrow, but that’s okay. Only if you really want to do it. I managed to get out over $50 for IAVA, so I’m happy enough. For a blog that’s been dead for months and had so little advertising, well – it’s pretty darn good. (=

I am hoping to blog more, now that I think I’ve managed to wipe away the last traces of the last identity of this blog. (It’s a long story. If you are curious, let me know.)

For now – I have to go email some people about prizes. (=

We have made $55 dollars for IAVA. It’s not a lot, but every little bit helps and I <3 my sponsors for throwing in their hard-earned money in this hard, economic time. Also, given that I didn't really advertise or pester people about it this year, that's pretty darn good. (=
