Some fixes are in order

Ok, I upgraded EE. We’re now running the latest version (1.6.3) but it’s mainly just bug fixes, nothing major. But!

Thanks to Danalyn I installed her latest version of Title Images and now it wraps the titles! so now you can have a long title and it won’t mess up the look of the site! Yay for upgrades! (by the way, Danalyn says this version is experimental and may never be finished. She’ll finish it someday I bet though)

Oh and don’t forget, this friday is Free for all Friday. Not sure if we’re opening that up here, Maybe I’ll set that up. But I’m doing it at my site at hello! yoshi, so be sure to come over on Friday to post to my blog!

German Hello!

Hey! It’s me! From Germany! How are you, internets? I’m well! I don’t think I quite adjusted to the time change, but – oh well. (;
(It’s 11pm here and I’m thinking I could just go all night, which would be bad. Really.)

Oh. Note to self, tell the boys their titles should be shorter. The long titles make the blog screwy…

Right! I see the boys have been taking very good care of the blog. Thanks, boys! (= (Boys == Colin, daniel, Yoshi, and Abraxus.)

Many thanks to Daniel for posting about American Idol this week. Hopefully, he’ll post about the results today. I’m all curious to know.

Anyhoo!

It’s cold here. It’s rained/snowed every day since I’ve gotten here. And I even went to France – and it rained/snowed there, too. But – Paris was gorgeous and the subway system was absolutely fantastic. We could learn some lessons from there. And from the Germans about recycling. Oh, and about making cars. I adore my friend’s Mini-Cooper. Wheee! So tiny, yet so powerful! Today, she likened it to putting the engine from a Honda into a lawnmower. XD

I see the blog is well, so how is the internets?! How is everyone?! I WANT TO KNOW!

I miss you all horribly, horribly. ::smooshy hugs::

American Idol… From my bed. LOL. Okay, so far Ramiele kinda ruined that Heart song, and Jason did a Sting song. Ugh. Jason. I keep waiting for him to do Smelly Cat for cry-eye… Syesha next. Now this is promising! Randy loves it, stellar even. Paula thought it was brilliant. Simon is more critical. Ouch.

(Side note: I miss skipping comercials…)

And we’re back with Chikezie. If Only For One Night. I like it. But Randy is picky tonight… He didn’t love it. Paula disagrees, she liked it. Simon thought the performance was cheesy, unoriginal. Brooke’s turn. She’s weird. I want to like her, but I don’t. She’s doing a Police song. I don’t love it. I think it’s the piano thing. I don’t like when the play instruments. Distracting. Randy thought it was alright. Paula and her drag-queen gloves thinks she’s consistent. Simon agrees with Randy.

Another break! Sheesh already…

Thwarted!

Thwarted,

Yes I have been thwarted. As of yesterday on the EB Games website Final Fantasy Crisis Core for the PSP was said to be coming out on the 25th of March. Now, Tuesdays are the Debut day for alot of things these days, Games, Music and also DVDs. It’s something of an industry standard I guess so I have come to expect it and of course that was my downfall. Square-ENIX has done this to me before and I should really have been ready for it this time around the block but alas, I got my hopes up.

Right after work this afternoon I scampered over to the EB Games and popped my head in the door to say hello to Karen and Lauren (yes..I am on a first name basis with my Game Store Employees how much of a geek am I?) and asked if Crisis Core was out.

“Oh the new Final Fantasy game? Was that coming out today?” This was not the opening statement I was hoping for…and unfortunately according to their Computer the game is ‘Shipped’ but not there yet and to add insult to injury they said it was coming out on the 27th not the 25th. Despite the fact that the Website lists it as Out Now.

I really truly despise being thwarted.

So, in the tradition of our absentee Hostess, how was your day Internets?

A message in time

So if you haven’t been watching the news, a fellow in Alaska found a 21 year old bottle washed ashore. It was from a 4th grader in Seattle. And now, 21 years later, someone found it. I thought this was kinda cool. I’ve often thought about sending letters in bottles, just to see what happens. I realize that most of them just float around and are never ‘found’ per se. But really it all just sounds so… romantic is the word I’m looking for I think.

Remember that movie Message in a Bottle with Kevin Costner and Robin Wright Penn (Jenny!)? I loved that movie. But yeah, something about sending messages in a bottle to be found (hopefully) seems so cool to me. I’m not entirely sure why. I guess this would probably tell a lot about me.

Then you know, there’s the scientist in me that is calculating the odds of the bottle even making it’s course to another shore. There are so many factors we do know about the ocean (sharks, whales, etc), and there are so many unknowns about the ocean (deep sea monsters, godzilla, etc). It’s unimaginable to the scientist in me for a bottle to travel from say the Washington state coast across the Pacific ocean to be found by someone in say Japan.

So I’ve taken enough of your time with this silliness. I guess the romantic in me decided to take over and express his feelings about Messages in bottles.
