AAA for the win
So, Friday, I’m packing up at work, getting ready to go home.
Papers in bag. Check.
Jacket. Check.
Purse. Check.
Computer off. Check.
Exchange school keys for car keys. Che –
Car keys? Hello?! *Frantic rummaging amongst purse, pockets, desk drawer, and school bag*
Shit. No keys. They have to be in the car. I go to my car. Yup. Right there on driver’s seat.
Fuck.
Call mom. Does AAA fix this? Probably, she says. Where’s your card, she says. At home in my other purse, I say. I haven’t switch back to my other purse after vacation yet. The one with my full wallet – and my extra car key. She gives me the AAA number and the account number. I call. Do you unlock cars? All the time, they say.
Thank, fucking, god.
The time now is 3:05, they say. Someone will arrive between now and 3:50, they say. Okay, I say. I sit on the ground and start grading, thanking the goddess that despite the cloudy skies, it’s a relatively nice day.
3:30. Phone call. The truck. The man who opens my car.

Puzzle Quest obsession
So for those of you not in the know, Puzzle Quest is this really awesome game where you match the gems to get powers and execute moves. It’s tough to explain, but it’s kinda like Bejeweled, except what you match matters. Different types of gems do different types of thing. You can also cast spells and use abilities. You also quest throughout the Puzzle Quest world, and gain levels. It’s a very long game (at least to me it is).
I play it mainly on the Nintendo DS, much like Poe does, but it is available for all the gaming consoles I believe. Though how you can play the game without the stylus on the DS is beyond me. It’s so much easier with it.
But Poe is obsessed with the game right now, so she made me post about it. And you might recall that when Poe says to jump you say “how high?”
[updated] Because I’m such a dork I did not realize Poe has PQ for the Wii too!!!!! ZOMG, I must haves it! My precious! I want my PQ for Wii!!!
[updated] Because I’m an even bigger dork, I’m updating it to say that this is Yoshi. Is that better you RSS readers?

TV Suck
Why does Thursday suck for TV? I mean, really, why is there nothing on?
For that matter, why is there TOO much on TV on Wednesday?!
Top Chef, Criminal Minds, CSI: NY….
The networks torture me on Wednesdays. I must CHOOSE. I have no TiVo. Or even TiFaux, like Diz. I have to – pick a show. Like the old days.
Oh god. The humanity!
Though, seriously, why all on Wednesdays? Can’t we have some things on Thursdays? When there’s – NOTHING? Yeeesh.
Make me a Supermodel on Bravo was okay for about four weeks. After that – I was done with it. It just wasn’t the same as Project Runway or Top Chef. Hell, even Top Design was interesting for the entire run. I just couldn’t get that into Make Me a Supermodel. Ah well.
