Chaotic People

So, this is part of Meltdown #11. I just have way too much to say to put it into *ONE* “more” entry. Bleh.

This will most likely be offensive, contain cursing (or intended cursing), and generally be utterly bitchy. (Hey, Betty! How many of the rules is that?) If you hate that sort of thing – there’s an ‘X’ in the corner. Make use of it.

Topic #1: People who just can’t get their shit together

Have you ever had those people that were always just utterly unprepared for life at present? I’m not talking about when you are running late one day and spend three hours trying to get back onto your schedule at the office/house/base/etc. No. I’m talking about the people who have to play ‘Catch Up’ every day of thier lives – or so it seems.

You give them something to be done when you give it to them – but no. They are not ready for it because they’ve been doing something else, or they haven’t done Part X yet, or they just plain haven’t been AROUND. And so this thing you need them to do *right now*, as everyone else is doing, cannot be done because they have to ‘catch up’ on all the other shit they were supposed to have already done.

And it piles on top of itself. These people can’t do this one thing you need, so the next thing you need cannot be done either, so these people end up with three (or more) things on their plate that you need them to do for you and you are sitting there. Waiting. And waiting. And waiting. And getting frustrated and pissed off because you wanted to be done with Thing1 a week ago and Thing 2 tomorrow, but no – you have to wait on these people who just aren’t ready to take care it.

For those of you that know me well, yes, this is actually a work-related rant. I’m talking about those students who are absent all the freaking time. In class two days, out for one. In class another day, out anouther three days. They can’t take the quiz with the class because they missed the days leading up to the quiz. Then they can’t take the test because they haven’t taken the quiz yet.

GAH! I want to just be DONE with this stuff within a WEEK. No. It drags on for two, three, four weeks at a time because these children are ‘sick’ so much.

Heaven help them if they are skipping. And if they are not – for the love of God, get the fuck better. I know you can’t help it if you are sick, but Jesus Christ. How many times can a person actually BE sick in the space of a month? And not go to the damn doctor to get it FIXED?

This or That

While similar to Chooseday, it’s not really the same. I heard some of these on the way to work and others just make me curious.

Which would you rather do?

  1. Read the book or watch the movie?
  2. Vacation on a beach or at a ski resort?
  3. Eat a slice of chocolate pie or of chocolate cake?
  4. Wear jeans or nice pants?
  5. Eat out or order in?
  6. Play a video game or a board game?
  7. Email someone or call him/her?
  8. Listen to the original song or the cover version?

Check out my answers after the bump.

As before – click on the ‘Meltdown’ category to see old versions.

It’s called the “Monday Meltdown” and is an excuse to just let out some of the frustration within. We all have frustration, yes? So – let’s focus our frustration and let it out on Mondays – because we all know that Mondays just deserve it. Just ask Garfield. ::grins::

Here’s how it is going to work. I’m going to post a choice for you. You take it away and go! Either in the comments section or on your own blog. But if you run away to your own blog, please drop me a comment so I can come see. ::grins:: I love to read a good rant.

I also have a button up there you can ‘steal’. Steal meaning take away to your own server. Don’t direct link. I’m afraid I don’t have the bandwidth for that one. (; So – are you ready to vent? I know you are. ::grins::

This week’s rants:
1. Christmas too early
or
2. People who treat their own mistakes as yours

You are free to rant about both or just one. Some of these rants may come back around, so don’t feel you need to do both of them so you can get it in. ::grins::

Okay! Go! If you are interested in my Meltdown for the week, just click on the ‘more’ there.

Newness?

So, I’ve been wondering about switching my WP out for EE. I’ve looked at Betty and at Jenny and I’ve been wondering if it is better that my WP. Because, currently, my WP makes me nuts. I can’t design for it currently, which makes me somewhat sad. ::le sigh:: I was HOPING EE would be better. But Betty was right. I ought to try it before I shell out for it. WP is free. EE is – not. EE is – expensive. Really expensive. So – we’re going to play with it. Yessss. We are. Mmm. Stay tuned.
