Worlds Collide

Holy CRAP! I barely finish making the last post and I hear from Rachel. Another amazing prize for ‘thon people! YAY! She’s allowing me to give away a blog template. WOO! I will detail exactly *how* you can win that closer to the event and on the prizes page. For now – here are *her* rules and regulations. Please make note of #4. No, really. If you cannot deal with #4 – you cannot win. ‘Kay? ‘Kay.

These are right off her site. Deal. Ya. Her stuff.

1. This is a premade. By premade I mean that it’s a custom design from my messed up little brain. While I will talk to the client to see what sort of colors and stuff they prefer it’s basically going to be a designer’s freeforall.
2. This is a template. My basic templates include the template/a button 88×31/ a banner 468×60/ONE blogroll put into dropdowns. Any additional bells and whistles will have charges and I will do them at 50% of the current Weblog Design Studios rates.
3. This offer is good for Blogspot, Expression Engine, WordPress, MovableType (but I swear to god I’ll throw a crying tantrum in my closet). We can discuss any other platforms. Typepad ONLY if they are on the version that allows full HTML editing. I believe it’s called Typepad Pro.
4. The hardest one…. Guys, I’m MOVING right now. I can NOT pop these out in a day.. (even though I DID do 6 jobs over the weekend and I’ve done 12 premades in one day once)… I DO TRY but sometimes I’m just not feelin it ya know? SO…. I will put them on my list and have them completed within 6 to 8 weeks of the end of the Blogathon.
5. If the winner of one doesn’t want one they can give it to someone else who does… that’s fine with me. 😀

I’ve decided to just do the ‘Thon on my blog. My dear friends, Diz and Divine Geek, will be joining me. As you can see, I’ve added an avatar next to the top of the post here. It’s so you will be able to see who is posting when without having to wait until the end of the post. Aren’t I just a nice person?

I will be the 1-Up mushroom. DivineGeek is going to be the Reverse mushroom. I have created one for Diz, but until she says she likes it, I’m not telling what it is.

Anyway. I’ve messed around in the sidebar and added a permalink thingie to the bottom of the post. The linked titles do not seem to work with this new rendering of titles. I’ll have to track down Betty and ask her about it. Because it’s the EXACT SAME code. It works when I do it around the word ‘permalink’ – but won’t work around the title. I think it has to be the javascript I am using to use a neat-o font for the titles. It’s not a big deal, I just liked clicking on the title to get to the individual entry. I’m such a dork.

Time for a Refresher on what’s happening on this blog on the 29th of July!

On the 29th of July, the Geeks will be participating in the annual Blogathon. Between the three of us, we will be blogging for 24 hours, posting once every 30 minutes. That will be a total of 49 posts. What! Shouldn’t it be 48? No, because there’s the one we tack on at the end. So, 49 posts. That’s a lot of posting! Amazing, huh?

We will be blogging for the Armed Forces Foundation this year. The Armed Forces Foundation has a miriad of programs to support the members of the military and their familes, including paying the bills of the familes of troops in need & finding housing for families to visit injured service members.

Now that you’ve heard the spiel, and if you are ready to help, there is something very simple you can do. Click here to sponsor me.
