And that’s me. I am a very lucky girl.
I was over at MM‘s blog, catching up on her day and her question made me realize that. The question was “What?s YOUR happy thought for the day?”
So, as I thought about it, I realized that my parents had celebrated their 29th wedding anniversary this past Sunday. 29 years together. They’ve fought, they’ve yelled. And yet, they are still together. And not just for the kids. Their kids are all grown up now. They still love each other. They are still silly/frisky with one another. I love them to death for it.
I realized exactly how lucky I am to have had that growing up and to still have that now as an adult.
So here’s to you, Mom and Dad.
I love you to death. And I hope to Goddess you make it another 29 years. I can’t imagine what I’d do without you.

You know what my life dream is? To grow old with that stubborn Greek guy and be surrounded by kids and grandkids BBQing in the back yard. I always get all teary when I see old couples holding hands..but don’t say this to anybody.. I play tough
