So, I really AM a geek because I’m actually BLOGGING about this. ::snickers::
I don’t know how many of you know about IRC – but I’m pretty much there all the time. On more than one network, but generally just one network. (There are a SLEW of different networks. Phew.)
But – anyway. IRC has channels – think AIM chatrooms. Each channel has its own people who run them – called operators, or ops for short. Now, to keep all of these lovely channels under control, the network has these global operators – called IRCops. And there’s this policy – if you ask to be one, you never will. Which is a pretty good policy, if you ask me. I’ve adopted it for forums and the like. (;
Anyway – guess who became one of those people this weekend? Ya. Me. W00t!
Yeah. I’m a Geek. I really am.
XD

I’ve always wondered what IRC was. I’ve heard people talk about it but had no clue what it meant. heh

Which program are you using to go on IRC? I think XChat is the best for it. For Windows (I assume this is the operating system that you use) it’s not free anymore, but the last free version of it you can download over here. Hope this helps!
