ValentineSmalentine

So, given my utter hatred of 14 February – mad mad mad mad mad mad – you might ask yourself what I did with my day.

I had a nice three day weekend preceding *that* day.  It snowed starting on Saturday.  It was really interesting to watch the progression of the storm.  I was out and about, mailing off things.  The snow was coming down, but it wasn’t sticking.  At least, it wasn’t when I went *into* the post office.  When I came out of the post office, around 1:30 pm (13:30 for you international types), it was sticking.  It was actually really pretty to watch.  I returned to my home and watched the snow come down.  Utterly gorgeous.

Sunday was more of the same.  The snow did not actually stop until noon-ish.  But I did not think they would cancel schools for Monday.  Oh, but they did.  At four pm on Sunday.  I was shocked.  How could they know how bad it would be on the roads?  I did not complain, however.  It was a nice surprise.

So, I worked on *that* day.  There were “Singing Valentines” – which are somewhat cute, depending on your mood.  The Chamber Chorus members break up into small groups and roam about, singing bits of songs to people.  It can be nice.  I then watched over the crew members.  Nothing unusual.

I came home to a box from the Italian Angel.  It had an adorable – and huge – teddy bear in it.  So very cute.

But – other than that – it was a bit of a blah day.  Stupid day.
