Blogathon Charity

Since I’m thinking about it…

For the upcoming Blogathon, I’m thinking about giving to a military charity. What would be the best one? I really want the money to go where I think it’s needed. No, I’m not obssessed with the military (those boys do look freaking hot in their uniforms, though, don’t they?) . . .

I think it’s more, I’m not sure. I blame my former roommate. She “graduated” from her internship last week and since she’s a military medical doctor, I went to it and was surrounded by all of these military doctors and I guess it just came back to me how much support our military really needs. Whether you believe our armed forces should be where they are or not, the fact is – they are there and our military personnel need as much support from those of us still at home as they can get.

Damn. Now I need two things.

1) Appropriate Blogathon Charity
2) Address to send mail to overseas troops

I’m so demanding today!

The Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund is a good one… and who we will be blogging for this year. They don’t take any administrative costs out of the donations so every penny goes to our military. PLUS, they are building a 35 million dollar rehab treatment center for amputees and severely wounded soldiers in San Antonio, near BAMC, which is truly an outstanding hospital. They have one of the very best burn units and trauma wards.
