So, I was flipping around channels last night and ended up watching Comedy Central. At about ten pm, a Christopher Titus comedy special came on. I can’t, for the life of me, remember the name of the special, but it was something along the lines of “The End of the World.” Having visited the website, that impression has been enhanced.
He’s a pretty funny guy at times, truth be told. But, the reason for this post is something he said. He was making a comment about Paxil – which is an antidepressant. Apparently, one of the side effects of Paxil is an increase in suicidal thoughts and it has been blamed for people who have committed suicide. No, really. I looked it up – just because that’s just freaking weird and odd. Have a look.
Is anyone else struck by the utter irony of that? (; I mean, it’s sad, yes. But – WOW. (; A medication for anti-depression has been known to cause to an increase in suicidal thoughts.
Wow. That’s just – wow. XD
Yeah, I’ve seen some class action lawsuit commercials too, “have you used paxil? you may be entitled to… blah blah blah”.
Pretty crazy isn’t it?
So very ironic.
its just wrong. wrong.
Can we say it’s time for the R&D department to go back to the drawing board?
