MPYR Radio – The Empire, where it’s all about the music. The music spans many genres and the DJs there are fun and quirky. However, there is another reason I will be tuning my internet radio to MPYR.
MPYR Radio is doing some amazing things for the blogathon, including going *live* for 39 hours. Why 39 hours, you ask? That’s such an odd number, you say! Well, it’s not, not really. Because there is a second schedule to help accommodate those bloggers who have religious, work, family reasons for not being able to participate in the normal schedule, the Blogathon itself actually runs for 39 hours, not 24. Each blogger will only blog 24 hours, but the two schedules are offset by 15 hours, bringing the blogathon to a total of 39 hours. And MPYR is going to stay up for all of it. How can you not love that? (=
Not only that, but MPYR is offering to play ‘bumpers’ for bloggers. Bumpers are commercials. Yes, that’s right. MPYR is going to play commercials for people participating in the Blogathon, to garner them more traffic. In fact, MPYR has offered to MAKE these bumpers for the bloggers. And – if you stop by the MPYR Chatroom and say “I’m here for Blogathon Pimpage!” – you will be advertised on the radio as soon as the DJ breaks from music. Utterly rock-tastic.
