After a brief discussion, it was decided amongst the two they would try behind the waterfall first as there was no entrance to attempt to locate. The entrance was already established – if you knew to look behind the waterfall. The pair make their careful and cautious way behind the waterfall, ignoring the water which splashes upon them. It is not – too – much, though it is enough to make Lucian curse for a moment. He chuckles lightly, then helps Solstice through and into the large cavern.

“This is quite the space. Any thoughts on how to see in the dark?” Solstice chuckles faintly.

“I do, actually.” Lucian leans down, picking up an old and forgotten torch. He lights it, grinning. He moves about, finding one more. This is lit and handed to Solstice. “Here you are, my lady.” He bows to her. She smirks.

“Your highness.” She curtsies.

“Oh, goddess. Please do not call me that. It makes me feel – stuffy and stodgy. No, thank you.” Lucian moves forward, curious. He makes a complete circuit of the outer cavern, finding not much at all. “No markings? No – anything?” He looks to Solstice. She shrugs a bit.

“I cannot tell you, Lucian. I gave you all the information which was known to me.” She joins him. The two move forward, down the long passageway. Lucian pauses, resting his hand against the left wall. He blinks, turning to look at it.

“What?” Solstice looks to him.

“The wall became warm to my touch.” Lucian frowns, confused. Solstice moves forward. She rests a hand on the wall.

“I feel nothing, Lucian.” She lofts a brow.

“But I do.” He moves his hand further down the wall, back the way they came. “Less warm.” He moves his hand forward, toward where they were headed. “Much warmer. This way.” He moves them down the passage, one hand against the wall at all times. He takes a sudden branch to the left, which leads them to a door. He tips his head to one side.

“Well. A door. And quite the door.” He looks over the intricately carved door. It told a story of a man wielding a sword, bringing peace to the lands. “I think this is the place.”

“And not a trap.” Solstice frowns, cautious.

“True. However, I am uncertain how to open the door..” Lucian looks the door over. He reaches out. “Look here. Two hand prints, hidden in the carvings.”

“But which one do you use? This one here?” She taps the one hidden on the sword itself. “Or this one?” She taps the one hidden within a field of grain.

“A very good question.” He steps back, giving the door his full attention.
