I have come today to talk about school supplies – as a child of the 80’s, my favorite was the overpriced, velcroed piece of plastic, the Trapper Keeper. This was followed closely by looseleaf paper, but only if it was college ruled.
The one school supply I always thought was awesome when I was little was the teacher’s pen. You know the one – red on one side, blue on the other? Teachers, ‘fess up – did you covet those as much as the rest of this? Do you cackle getting to use one now?
Being a grown-up, I do miss the structure to the year that school gave. Working year-round takes all the magic out of those once “endless” summers. Kids, soak it up while you can! Or else, you know, teach for a living!
