CBS, one of the major non-cable networks here in the States, has a new show starting in the fall. It’s called “Moonlight.” Yes, it’s about a vampire. And yes, goddammit, I am excited about. ::snickers::
1. When it’s well done, I love vampire series and movies.
2. The concept is interesting. Perhaps done before, but still very interesting to me.
3. The guy playing the vampire? Hot. (;

Ooooh! A vampire! A sexy vampire! I hope this is not like “Angel” because that’d be so boring. They always play with the vampires do’s and dont’s. Wood through the heart is meant to kill them, garlic is supposed to push them away a bit and sunlight should definitely burn them.
But then again I don’t see why natural selection shouldn’t work for vampires too, right? Hehe, let’s discuss the evolution of vampires now. People don’t say the word “Creationism”…
Well, it all depends on which mythos you read, which vulnerabilities they have. So, really, I can’t think there is but ONE way for things to be, you know? (;
And I think you are right. I would think vampires would evolve. Learn to enjoy garlic, etc.
As for sunlight – that did seem to be the one unifying factor. Sunlight == death. Hrmm. Well, why not? There are legends of Dhampirs, those who walk in the daylight – the Blade mythos. Why not? (;
Wow, I was half joking when I said that but you are right. And it is true that myths themselves evolve and change with the times. I didn’t know about the daylight vampires though! What are you trying to do? I won’t ever leave my house again! (yeah, right)

Looks pretty interesting. It’s kinda like a Harry Dresden and Blade combo. Pretty slick. I’ll have to check it out.
But if I like it, most likely it will be cancelled.
