Before we Begin: Disclaimer

Okay, my lovelies. Time is counting down until I start posting the story. I’m excited. Are you excited? (;
Here’s the disclaimer. (;

The first two posts will be long. They have already been written – and will have introductory remarks before I write them. All the posts after that will be – well – free-written. They may be long, they may be short. I’m not sure yet. I won’t put them after a jump, so – the front page will get long. I apologize in advance, but that’s the way things have got to be for now, yanno?

In any event, I hope you enjoy the story. I’ve also decided that if I’m not happy with the portion of the story as it is written when it’s time to post, I’ll hold off posting it until the next post and I’ll post something else – like a game or my thoughts – or – something. (= Perhaps some backstory for the story.

Each thon post will be labeled: Thon 1, Thon 2, etc. After that, it’ll say what we are doing: Story Part I, Background, Randomness, etc. So, all the STORY pieces will be easily identifiable from the title. (=
Also – be sure to go all the way to the end of the story piece and vote in the poll which will be at the end, okay?! That’s how we are going to keep this thing rolling!

Okay!

Let’s grab our water and hit the bathroom one last time! (Yes, again.)

Let me Entertain You

Yo! I’m Luka my blog is called The Incogblogo. This is my 5th year doing The Blogathon.  I am raising money for The Mr Holland Opus Foundation this year.  On my blog I am going to have 4 music/trivia games plus 4 regular trivia games.  You can win sponsorship dollars, or just prizes if you’re not blogging! It should be good time, so I hope that you stop by.

THE MR. HOLLAND’S OPUS FOUNDATION (MHOF) supports music education and its many benefits through the donation and repair of musical instruments to under-served schools, community music programs and individual students nationwide.

MHOF was inspired by the acclaimed motion picture Mr. Holland’s Opus, the story of the profound effect a dedicated music teacher had on generations of students. The film’s composer, Michael Kamen, founded MHOF in 1996 as his commitment to the future of music education.

It’s all about the music.  grin

You know what they say…

never open Poe’s box… that was one of my favorite episodes of “Charmed”.  Anyway, my name is Karah and I’m the owner of trackbunnyfilms.com – otherwise known as Diary of a Track Bunny. Originally the url was for my “film production” stuff but since I didn’t update it enough and had a blog on my other domain (trackbunnies.org), I decided to make it my blog URL.

If you don’t know what a Track Bunny is… it’s a name my friends and I came up with for girls who are into racing. Usually girls who are into racing and think the drivers are “hot” are called pit lizards which I think is kind of funny, but we aren’t into it just to be a groupie… we love the racing.. the action. I want to work in the industry when I graduate next semester (NASCAR), so we came up with Track Bunnies b/c bunnies are cuter than lizards.

The charity that I’m blogging for is Victory Junction Gang Camp, which was created by Kyle and Patty Petty (son and daughter-in-law of the biggest winning driver in NASCAR history – Richard Petty). They created it after their son, Adam, was killed in a crash during practice at New Hampshire Speedway a few years ago. The camp was Adam’s dream so after his death, they created it in his memory. The camp is for physically challenged and ill children and sometimes their families so that the children can be “normal” and do things that they normally can’t in groups of other children. They have medical specialist on site, nurses, and camp volunteers who are trained to deal with the medical conditions of the children. NASCAR drivers are very involved in this charity and it cost $1500 for ONE child to go. I really want to raise enough so one child can go but this is my first year and I’m being realistic… so far I’ve got almost $500 so I’m a third of the way there.
