…the system. The freaking school system. Specifically, the people down at the county who decided that the damn science department could have my classroom. It’s MY classroom and it’s nowhere near the rest of the damn science classrooms. It’s the MATH classrooms. It’s my damn classroom. Mine. I waited for it and I love it. It’s huge. I get to arrange the desks in patterns which are non-linear. It has two storage cabinets with shelves, plus a ‘closet’ where I can hang up my coat and also have room for storage of stuff. I just got a new filing cabinet in there. I haven’t even broken the damn filing cabinet in yet. All I’ve done is make sure the lock works. That’s it.

AGH! I want to hurt someone. Someone needs to die for this.

I’m tired of the math department getting shafted. They’ve already taken one classroom from us. They told us at the beginning of the year that we were going to lose two classrooms. Now it’s up to FOUR classrooms we’re going to lose? What the fuck?! HELLO?! We need those classrooms! All they’ve said that they are taking the classrooms. There was no mention of us receiving new classrooms. None. It’s ASSUMED we will be pushed down toward where English currently is, but that’s not official. It’s assumed.

People. Let’s review. There are 19 math teachers. 19 of them. We already have 2 full-time floating teachers and two part-time floating teachers. Taking four classrooms means we would be up to six full-time floating teachers. (If you float – you move from classroom to classroom to teach. There is no classroom to call ‘yours’.) Okay. Fine. Whatever. However, the math department office is *not* big enough for eight desks. I’m sorry. A teacher who has no classroom needs at least a damn desk for work and files and shit. But the math office is not big enough for eight teachers to be in there. Not at all.

WHAT

THE

FUCK!

LEAVE MY CLASSROOM ALONE!

I’ll cut you……

I feel better. Sorta. Maybe.

Not really.

Care Package!

Hey, you! Yeah, you. Behind the screen. Yup, I’m breaking the fourth wall and talking to you, reader. Hello! ::waves::
Why would I do that? Well, that’s because the lovely KentuckyGirl is giving stuff away. Homemade cookies and various small things such as that. Ooo. She’s so sweet. Someone ought to send her something. Wonder what she’d want? (;

In any event, she’s offering to send out survival packages to three of her readers. And when she says readers – she means anyone who comments on that particular entry. She doesn’t even care if you don’t read her blog regularly. I think she should, but she was all “Nope! Don’t care!”

So, hustle your booty over there and comment. Granted, it’s random and you might not win – like I did not win the christmas cookies. (Suck, I gotta say.) But – ya gotta play to win. (;

Here’s what I put in her comments. I’m such a dork. It’s totally random and half-assed. But, I’m not a scrapbooker or anything like that, so – what could I say?

  1. Hot chocolate. Essential.
  2. Non-gooey non-romantic games for the 14th – such as crossword puzzles, logic puzzles, etc. Though, I’m not a big fan of Soduku. weird, eh?
  3. De cookies. Yum.
  4. Coloring book and crayons. Total destresser. No, really. Not kidding. Totally good for you.
  5. Non-red, non-pink ribbons for my hair. (;

Go on. Go play. You know you want to get free stuff.

Updated!

I finally updated my site to EE version 1.6.1. It took me forever, but 1.6 was running fine and I’m a lazy bum – as those of you who are long time readers of this blog know. (;

I believe everything is working fine. The only problem seems to be an image/css issue in the admin panel. And, honestly? If that’s the only problem, I can’t be arsed to fix it. It’s supposed to be a long, bubble button and it’s not showing up that way. The link still works fine, so – eh. Can’t be arsed. At all. (;

So, if anything looks weird or doesn’t seem to be working, PLEASE let me know. So I can try to fix it – or call Yoshi in a panic. (;

Who wants an award?

I do! I do! Ha. Well. I have all of you. That makes me warm and fuzzy on the inside. ::muah::

However, Daniel has reminded me that the 2008 Weblog Awards are coming – aka, The Bloggies. Who wouldn’t want to at least be nominated?! I know I can’t win because I didn’t post NEAR enough last year, but – who knows. Maybe they’d like all my Blogathon posts, eh? ::grins::

Anyway. Just being nominated would be great fun. So – be a peach and go and nominate me while you nominate all your other favorite blogs? (Like Daniel. Luka. Diz. Yoshi for HaroFood. You know.)

Nominate! I did!

Oh – and totally put in ExpressionEngine for blogging application. It rocks the socks off, people!! (=
