Staying awake in the wee hours

I don’t think I’ve particpated in a FFAF in… well, a very, very long time!  LOL

As a two-year veteran of the ‘thon, I have some experience in trying to stay awake for 24 hours. Caffeine is good. This makes McDonald’s runs for super size value meals a necessity, as you get about four gallons of Coke with that meal. (Wait – they don’t super size anymore! )

Having company also helps. In the past, my roommate and two friends have hung for much of the duration, watching DVD’s, playing games, and going for coffee runs at 3am to aid me in my quest to stay awake. Of course, they seem to forget that by 1am or so on Saturday night, my brain cells begin shutting down at a rapid rate and I am no longer what one would call good company. wink

So, that’s my key to success: caffeine + companionship. If ya got those two things, you’re more than halfway there!

I’m looking forward to pinch-hitting for Poe ‘round these parts tomorrow… I hope you all will consider sponsoring her if you happen to stumble by!  LOL

Here I am.

So, Free for all friday. Cool. What are we supposed to talk about? Poe mentioned trivia. Hmm I love watching jeopardy but I’m not one to dish out any trivia. Instead I can talk about the latest book I just read.

Phantom by Terry Goodkind. It’s the 2nd part of a trilogy that will end the Sword of Truth series by Terry Goodkind. I have to say that it definitely answered a lot of questions for me. Have you read this book? Have you heard of this book? Have you heard of Terry Goodkind? Do you care?

The blogathon is coming up, and is due to start tomorrow morning 6AM (for my time zone). As stated in my own blog, my plan is simple. I have no plan. So having no plan is the plan. I don’t have a set of topics I’m gonna talk about, or anything to talk about at all. I’m going to play it by ear, and see where it takes me. We’ll see how it all goes. If you do feel the urge, after you’ve sponsored Poe, feel free to come sponsor me as well. smile I’m blogging for The Susan G Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. No sponsorship is too small, even $1 helps.

So, since this post seems to be gaining in length, I will cut it short here, and just mention to stop by my site and just lounge. It’s free-for-all friday there too. smile

Move along now. Go on!

Ooooh Trivia!!!!!

I like questions of any kind…go ahead ask me!!!

I tend to focus most of my attention on culture…and no, if the US Government doesn’t recognize rap as a viable artform then it doesn’t count as culture. smile

I mean things like who done did what when and where…I also love pre-90’s music and movie trivia. I say pre-90’s because everything after that is just repetition…

Except, of course, anything Poe says… smile She’s unique!!!!

Ciao everyone!!!!
